I spent an hour in Walmart last night, and its a ridiculous place - when you add a holiday like Christmas, it is almost unbearable. Check out this post from Seth.

The only way to explain this mass over-consumerism is that it is built in the system. Profits have to rise, but eventually it gets out of hand. WE don't buy commodities anymore, we buy brands. There is no coffee - only Starbucks. Small, Medium and Large - they don't exist. Now there is Grande and Venti

Companies have to build a new reality, with new verbiage, because in the real world who pays $5.00 for a coffee.

Cheers To Ohio St. Michigan

As the cold November weather starts to creep its way across the Midwest, as an Ohio State fan, I can only think of one thing. Of course I'm speaking of the upcoming college hockey season. And hopefully repeating as the CCHA Champions. Another victory over the wolveriens in the championship game would be even more sweet.

But seriously (I just found out about the hockey championship) how great is this Saturday. I don't care who you root for it always feels like this game is something bigger than a football game. Once kickoff starts its the same feeling from the year before - how did you manage to forget what this felt like for the last 350 days?

More than Anything else, for a fan of either team, we get to be part of the SuperBowl every year. The eyes of the nation is on our team. Win or loose every player leaves everything on the field today - and isn't that why we watch any game in the first place.

Cheers to Ohio State. Or Cheers to Michigan. But surely Cheers to the Greatest Game in Sports.

Cheers to Lawyers

Cheers to Lawyers - Huh. They are a different breed, like a living breathing paradox. You give them $3,000 for a letter and it should make you money. You worry for weeks at a time weather you should let them do your worrying for you. They are supposed to make a messy situation clear, yet all they really do is ask questions. They are known to be some of the best fighters in the world, and they only fight eachother. Everyone of them is an asshole except the ones that are working for you. Best of all, they talk slow and bill by the hour. But seriously, someone needs to cleanup after the party, and that guy deserves everything he gets.
